World Should Worry about Imran’s Insanity

Imran Khan’s immediate target is the  200 Indian Muslims. He  wants the Muslim ummah to sharpen its weapons to ‘teach a lesson’ to India. If this is not the raving and ranting of a man out of his mind then what else is? It is time for the international community to bring him down to his senses even though it will require quite an effort.

The playboy-cricketer-turned politician, Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan, seems to have turned insane, unable to control his hubris against ‘fascist Modi’ and ‘Hindu’ India which will not hand over Kashmir to him. After years of harbouring and exporting terror, he is ready to lead and incite the entire global population of 1.25 billion Muslims against India to take ‘revenge’ for the ‘atrocities’ on Kashmiri Muslims, who he thinks can live in peace and prosper only under Pakistan’s tutelage—a la Baluchistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
To be sure there are many in India itself who have denounced the turn of events in Kashmir and the downgrading of its autonomous status. Narendra Modi has been criticised by a broad cross-section of Indians. There are Indians who would be happy to see the prime minister thrown out of office. But they are all united as one when an implacably hostile leader of a neighboring country talks of attacking and destroying India and question his moral right to speak of ‘human rights’ in India when the record of his own country has for years been so abysmal.
His immediate target is the population of 200 Indian Muslims. He is asking them to rise in support of the Kashmiri Muslims even as he wants the rest of the Muslim ummah to sharpen its weapons to ‘teach a lesson’ to India. If this is not the raving and ranting of a man out of his mind then what else is? It is time for the international community to bring him down to his senses even though it will require quite an effort.
His poisonous fulminations against India come close on the heels of his repeated threats to nuke India. It is a sign of his mental depravity that he still describes Pakistan as a ‘peace-loving’ nation. The raging Pakistani has declared that henceforth Pakistan will not talk to India which has rejected his many offers for a bilateral dialogue. It can be inferred from all this that now he will only let his nukes and guns do the talking with India.
Surprisingly, despite his state of insanity he understands that should he nuke India utter devastation awaits both his benighted country as well as the land of the infidels across his eastern border and much beyond. There is little prospect of his sobering down and there is nobody in Pakistan who can steady his mind since he has been ‘selected’ by the all-powerful army of bigoted generals and zealot jawans.

There is little prospect of Imran sobering down and there is nobody in Pakistan who can steady his mind since he has been ‘selected’ by the all-powerful army of bigoted generals and zealot jawans.

But the world cannot let him carry on with his nihilistic, blood-thirsty rhetoric. Even after the end of the Cold War there has been no dearth of leaders in the world talking and functioning recklessly and irresponsibly. They have committed many heinous crimes. But none of them posed a danger to the peace of the entire world so casually and nonchalantly as the Oxford-educated Imran Khan who thinks that Germany and Japan are neighbours!
His cataclysmic designs against India do have a comical side but that cannot be a matter of solace if his insanity is not cured. On his orders, every Friday the life of the 200 million Pakistanis comes to a standstill literally. They are supposed to freeze wherever they are and whatever they are doing with a prayer in their mind for complete destruction of India, minus, of course, the coveted territory of Kashmir.
He has asked Pakistanis to await a signal from him to march towards the Indian border. It would have been passed off as a stunt if he had not shown signs of a pervert mind and talks so casually about using nukes as though they are toys. He wants Pakistanis living in the territory under his country’s forcible occupation for over 70 years to be at the forefront of a mass march into Indian territory to express ‘solidarity’ with their ‘brethren’ in the Kashmir valley.
Imran Khan thinks that the world will heed him when Pakistanis foot march towards the international border or the line of control in Kashmir and eventually meet resistance from Indian forces. The international community has to decide whether it will serve the cause of peace if Pakistanis under the leadership of Imran Khan go ahead with that kind of provocative march to violate the sanctity of international borders and the sovereignty of a neighbour.
It has been reported that when Imran Khan lands in the US later this month he will have two meetings with President Donald Trump and many other leaders of the world, apart from addressing the UN General Assembly where, it goes without saying, he will pour venom against India to his heart’s content. But the leaders who grant him audience will do well to question him on the evil designs he nurses in his mind.

Pakistan has to be chastised by the international community and forums like the UN so that its leaders learn to act and talk with some maturity and sanity.

Imran Khan thought that he was in a strong bargaining position vis-à-vis a desperate US seeking Pakistan’s help to quit Afghanistan. That meant that the US could no longer treat Pakistan as a pariah despite its reprehensible record in the fight against terror. The Taliban’s refusal to renounce its ways of terrorism and killing of innocents have once again put Pakistan in an uncomfortable position as the course of future of talks with the Taliban looks uncertain at the moment. Pakistan loses its trump card over Pakistan if the Taliban persist with their terrorist ways.
But regardless of what the Taliban does in Afghanistan, Pakistan has to be chastised by the international community and forums like the UN so that its leaders learn to act and talk with some maturity and sanity. Pakistan has excelled in rogue behaviour, largely on account of the leniency shown towards it in the past by its biggest benefactor, the US. When the US began to waver in its magnanimity towards the ‘epicentre of terror’, Pakistan placed itself in tight Chinese embrace to continue with its egregious ways.
It is for China and the US to appraise the behaviour of Pakistan under the leadership of Imran Khan and to ensure that he is restrained to act like a responsible leader, not an inveterate war monger.
