Russia to allow US arms transit to Afghanistan
US President Barack Obama’s visit to Moscow next week will see both sides initial an agreement on transhipment of American weapons to Afghanistan.
Besides bolstering American weapon supplies to fight Taliban, the MOU will also help improve strained ties between Washington and Moscow.
At present, Russia is allowing the US to ship non-lethal supplies across its territory for operations in Afghanistan.
