INDIA
  1. Daily Dharti’s editorial   on recent conference on Kishanganga project asked Kashmiris to stop referring to Kishanganga as Indian water terrorism and said the project would offer many benefits to the Kashmiris. The edit said: ‘The conference on Kishanganga project was held by a NGO, Lok Sanjh, which appears to be backed by Punjab. This is clear because speakers emphasized how the construction of the dam would hinder Punjab’s agricultural industry. But the fact of the matter is Kishanganga dam could solve power problems for Kashmiris and would strengthen the Kashmiri economy. Pakistan government had made similar promises but had failed to fairly distribute the proceeds from the Mangla Dam to Kashmiris; instead this dam benefits are mainly utilized by Punjab. Being a Kashmiri we should not go against such an important project as it will offer many benefits to Kashmir. Hence Kashmiris should even refrain from calling the Kishanganga India’s water terrorism. (Daily Dharti EDIT)
