INDIA
1. Indian PM Modi has confessed to not carrying out a surgical strike against Pakistan by stating that India had never attacked any country and it doesn’t want to gulp the land of any country. The Indian PM has exposed the lies spoken by his Army. (Jasarat)

2. Arif Bahar writes the surgical strike was a defence strategy for the world but for the Indian Army it was a dream. After the Mumbai attacks, the Indian establishment had dreamt of surgical strikes but Pakistani leaders delivered a message that a fitting response awaits any aggression against the borders. In the past, India wanted to target an old camp of Jamaat-ul-Dawa in the vicinity of Muzaffarabad which was converted into a relief camp after the earthquake. India had even asked the US to help. When the US discussed this with Pakistani authorities they were warned that it would be only happen at the cost of war between two countries. After the Uri attack, India again was gripped with the same desire but now Pakistan is in much better position than seven years ago. Pakistan has come out of the US influence. After the Uri attack, the Pakistani troops had vacated front chowkies and moved backward as a tactic. When the Indian forces entered they were ambushed and one soldier was captured, who will now share the solitude of RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadav. (Jasarat)

3. Tarique Fatemi says if India scraps the Indus Water Treaty Pakistan can go to any extent. India staged the Uri attack to divert attention from the Kashmir issue. (Roznama Dunya)

4. The Pakistani forces have exposed India’s false claim; it can be proved by Indian Minister’s statements that India did not violate Pakistan’s border and that helicopters were not used in the surgical operation. An India official stated that the Indian forces returned within 2 hours after the operation while the Indian media said the operation took about 4 to 5 hours. Conflicting statements are coming from India on the so called surgical strikes. The international media was surprised when they were taken to visit the targets of the surgical strike as they found there was not any kind of destruction and losses. India has stopped river Chenab water completely and reduced 20 per cent water flow in Jhelum and Indus River. In this scenario, Prime Minister Sharif’s decision of taking international leaders into confidence is the right step. India takes advantage of Pakistan’s weak diplomacy; hence Pakistan should review its foreign policy. Parliamentarians should force the PM to appoint a full-time Foreign Minister. (Khabrain Edit)

5. Defence analyst Amjad Shoeb says due to the fake claim of surgical strike, India had to face disgrace before the international community. There is the threat that India may carry out similar attacks in future. Before he left for New York, PM was given a complete dossier on Kulbhushan Yadav for presentation in the United Nations; but he did not submit it. (Khabrain)

6. Unlike India and Pakistan who have agreed upon the Indus Water Treaty, there is no treaty between India and China on trans-boundary river waters. India had to face one more defeat in Maulana Masood Azhar case at the UNSC. The Pakistani government is advised to make efforts to declare India a terrorist state. China has given evidence of being a close friend of Pakistan by stopping the water of Brahmaputra’s tributaries to India. (Ummat Edit, Ausaf Edit)

7. The UNMOGI stated that it did not hear any sound of fire on the LoC during the time India claims to have made a surgical strike. Pakistanis believe that all the claims by India, be it on Kashmir, Pathankot attack, Mumbai attack or the recent Uri attack are mere propaganda unleashed against Pakistan. India wants to hide its crimes in Kashmir and to divert the attention of the world from its tyranny in Kashmir. The spokesperson of the Pakistani Army Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa said that it is not possible for anybody to come inside five kilometres of the borders of Pakistan and go back alive. The Indian Army is hiding its loss. If India enforces a war upon Pakistan it will get such a response that next time it won’t think of repeating the same mistake. (Jasarat Edit, Roznama Duniya Edit)

8. The foreign media and Pakistani journalists who were taken to the villages where India claimed for the surgical strikes near the LoC found no evidence. Life is normal in the villages near the LoC on the Pakistani side whereas India has moved out people living within three kilometres of the LoC. Once again India violated the LoC and carried out firing on the Bhimber sector of AJK. In response Pakistani forces fired back. Pakistan should immediately take up this border violation by India with the UNSC and give a report to the UN observers. (Ausaf Edit)

9. The international media representatives visited the location of the Indian surgical strikes targets and exposed India’s baseless propaganda. Lt. Gen. Salim Bajwa briefed the international media representatives. The UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon also rejected the Indian claim of surgical strike as no evidence was available. Japanese Magazine, The Diplomat, in its investigation report revealed that Indian forces are not capable of a surgical strike. India is condemned thus for its shameful claim that has become a cause of disgrace in the international community. (Jang Edit)

10. Pakistan Defence Minister says India has made a big drama about the fake surgical operation. Like the Samjhauta Express, this surgical strike is also a big lie. There is curfew in Kashmir ever since the martyrdom of Burhan Wani. The situation is very bad; people cannot offer prayers on Fridays. (Awami Awaz)

11. Qari Naveed Masood Hashmi in his column says more than the Generals of the Indian Army and terrorist Modi, the Indian media is creating war like situation. The anchors, analysts and the columnists want India to wage war against Pakistan. However, Modi and the Indian Generals are not coming under pressure of the Indian media. As anyways the Indian Army Chief is setting up new records of cowardliness; so Modi is advised to form an Army comprising media personnel to fight with the mujahideen. Forget the past incidents where the mujahideen had beaten the Indian forces. Take the recent Uri incident; just four mujahideen killed 19 Indian soldiers. Against this backdrop it is possible that an Army made up of the Indian media anchors might be able to protect some honour of India. International magazine ‘The Economist’ revealed that India’s weapons are old and unattended for years. 70 per cent of India does not have toilets. So much so Indian government should first provide toilets to its people. (Al Qalam Weekly 30 September – 6 October)

12. One more attack has taken place on an Indian Army camp in Baramullah, according to Indian media reports. One Jawan was killed and four were injured critically. The Indian Army claims to have shot dead two of the six assailants. The incident took place around 10.30 p.m. and firing went on for quite some time. (Awami Awaz)
