CHINA-CPEC
1. DG, Intelligence Bureau, Aftab Sultan, in his briefing to Parliament, revealed that apart from RAW, TTP and NDS are also active in sabotaging the CPEC. He however thinks that these efforts are doomed to fail. With security forces on full alert to foil the enemy attempts, people are confident that the CPEC will be completed without any hitch. (Daily Pak Edit)
2. The disclosure that the Indian and the Afghanistan agencies are active against the CPEC project is a matter of deep concern. National political and linguistic parties have become tools in allowing anarchy in the country. There are some elements who enjoy posts of policy makers receiving foreign funding for slowing improvements in the economy and development process. There are some media persons and NGOs running on foreign funding who are doing disservice to Pakistanis. These elements are more dangerous than the Indian intelligence agency RAW. Hence investigations should be held to identify elements who are making the CPEC project controversial and strengthening India’s propaganda. (Ausaf Edit)
3. The US, India and some other countries are against CPEC right from the word go. As far as the LeJ and TTP are concerned, the government should deal with these terrorists for sabotaging the project. If religious parties have any reservations then the government should hold talks with them to remove their apprehensions to the extent possible. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has worries over the CPEC’s western route. The federal government should have taken all the stake holders into confidence on the CPEC project since it is going to be a game changer. It is not too late to do so. (Khabrain Edit)

His party raised its voice against the Khyber Pakhtunkhwah government making donations to one madrasa, but the federal government has not acted on the complaint. Today, students of that very madrasa are being used for dharnas in Islamabad. It might be no surprise if militants come to power in Islamabad. One charge is that the governor is still in touch with MQM Chief, Altaf Hussain, even after the assembly declared him a traitor. Besides the judiciary, investigating agencies can take suo moto note of the charges. Whoever is staying in in Sindh is a Sindhi. The Mohajir word should not be abused for political ends. (Awami Awaz)

SINDH/BALOCHISTAN/PUNJAB/KP
1. The Sindh governor made some interesting revelations while talking to the media on the sidelines of a public function he had attended. All these disclosures tell how Karachi’s peace has always been held hostage by some contractors, and highlight how Karachi has become the battlefield in global proxy war. Sindh governor has spoken in detail about the world of crime and also about the former Karachi Mayor, Mustafa Kamal who has broken ranks with Altaf Hussain and floated his own Pak Sarzameen Party. Without naming any party, the governor said that the arms seized recently at Azizabad belonged to one political party and that it was the biggest arms cache in the country’s history. Whatever the Sindh governor has said now is not new strictly speaking; it was already spoken to by police, rangers and the intelligence agencies. Even former Army Chief Musharraf and military ruler knew of these forces that they had ties with RAW. Globally, Karachi, Kabul and Kashmir are proxy war hotspots where the global and the local forces have always been trying to score over one another. They try to get their agendas addressed. Lot of people have paid with their lives in Karachi during 33 years. Every ruler seems to be facing the same questions from the people- who will do justice in Karachi. This big cry for justice gets hushed up every time for one reason or the other. It should not happen anymore. (Awami Awaz Edit)
2. The police, Rangers and other agencies deserve kudos for cleansing Karachi. God alone knows how much more dirt is still waiting to be unearthed in the metropolis. . Whenever any senior and responsible person in office like the Sindh Governor makes any disclosure, it must be taken seriously and investigated. Action should be taken against the buyers of arms that were unearthed recently at Azizabad. Digging up just one cache is not enough as the entire Karachi needs to be cleansed of such illegally acquired weapons. (Sindh Express Edit)

He touched upon cases like May 2007 carnage, and Badliya town fire but the moot question is when action will be taken in these cases. For the present, PPP senior, Asif Ali Zardari appears to have asked party men to keep off the MQM squabbles. One thing is clear though. MQM is engulfed into factionalism. (Kawish)
