5. Daily Pak and Ausaf have criticised that India is going too far in its madness for war and it is necessary for Pakistan to procure latest defence equipment to maintain the power balance. If the US President Barack Obama wanted to supply F-16s to Pakistan then he should convince the US Congress over the issue. Ausaf edit also called for upgradation of Pakistan’s missile technology. (Daily Pak Edit, Ausaf Edit)
6. Javid Mahmood writes: India was such an enemy which always kept looking for opportunities to harm Pakistan and there was a long history of conspiracies that Indian leaders had hatched against Pakistan. Indian PM Modi had confessed on 8 June 2015, while speaking in Bangladesh, about how Indian conspiracies had split Pakistan in 1971. On 23 May 2015 Indian Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar, had elaborated that India had adopted policy against Pakistan with the intention to give a befitting response. India had tried to present itself at international forums as an innocent victim but since the arrest of RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav, Indian conspiracies had been exposed in front of the world community. Indian lobbyists were very strong in the US and they were working to harm the interests of Pakistan. The US had stopped Pakistan’s funding for F-16s on the behest of the Indian lobby. It was to be seen if Pakistan comes under Indian pressure and releases RAW agent Kulbhushan Jadhav or stands firm on its position. (Ummat)

POLITICAL SCENE
1.Back door negotiations between government and PPP have opened on the Panama leaks issue; this is the reason why PPP has decided not to protest on the Panama leak issue. (Roznama Dunya)
2.Zarar Pirzada asks what is this hullabaloo about Panama Leaks when both ruling and opposition leaders are known to have put their money in off-shore companies. He sees the noise on Panama Leaks as no more than an effort to hide the real issues from public scrutiny. He regrets that none of the political leaders have been questioned about their basic responsibility towards the people of the country. (Awami Awaz)
3. Javed Abroo states that both the opposition and the government should adopt a responsible stand on the Panama leaks issue and keep aside their ego hassles; the present impasse was largely because of ego fights (amongst parties and leaders). (Ibrat)
4. Sikandar Haliyo writes PM in his address yesterday he said he was first in business and then came to politics and not the other way around but who would tell the PM that there was a very thick connection in Pakistan between criminal-politicians and businessmen. He recalls that Benazir used to complain that Nawaz Sharif was turning politics into business. Haliyo further states that there has been a talk about formation of a PML-N breakaway group. Sheikh Rashid said that there are about 40 such disgruntled PML (N) members; so it is possible that the demand for Nawaz’s resignation would gain traction in the days ahead. Home Minister, Nissar Chaudhary, looks like a very strong candidate to replace Nawaz Sharif. Nissar Chaudhary, and even Shahbaz Sharif, remained largely quiet during this Panama leaks imbroglio, and thus all did not seem well within Nawaz Sharif’s own house. By all accounts the Panama leaks thunder is a god sent opportunity for Nawaz Sharif’s political and personal opponents to bring him down; unfortunately for him, the PPP opposition is not standing by him as they did during Imran’s dharnas. Even the establishment seems to be unhappy with Nawaz Sharif for his Modi ties. (Kawish)
5. Munir Ahmed Baloch writes that instead of political parties levelling allegations against one another over the Panama issue, an investigation commission should be given the task to investigate the corruption charges against every party during the Holy Month of Ramadan. It should be asked to give a report within a month. . (Roznama Dunya)
6. Awami Awaz, Ibrat, Kawish, Jang, and Khabrain have editorially commented on PM Sharif’s address to parliament and his offer to set up a joint parliamentary committee on Terms of Reference (TORs) for the Panama leaks probe panel. Noting that the Opposition had staged a walk out during the PM’s speech, the edits said the Opposition should have been patient enough to hear out the PM’s plans but sadly as is the habit these days – politicians first rush to the media – and thus here too, the parliament members first went to the media outside the parliament. Ibrat doubts whether the PPP will bail out PML-N now also as it did during earlier crisis periods. Nevertheless, PPP deserves credit for not letting the issue to be dragged to the streets, which is what the PTI would have done by now. The daily advises both sides to sit together and give it a thought with a cool head, because if this does not happen then the ultimate victim will be the democracy in the country. Kawish edit states that when issues get personalised in a democratic system, then the major victim of such ego clashes is democracy. Neither the opposition nor the government seem to be serious about finding a way out of the current situation. Jang Editorial is hopeful that the issue of difference on enquiry would not become another theatre of the absurd. Khabrain states the opposition walk out after PM’s address was a smart move, according to some analysts but some others are worried that the issue would get worse. (Awami Awaz Edit, Ibrat Edit, Kawish Edit, Jang Edit, Khabrain Edit)
