Kayani meets Karzai, discusses anti-terrorism strategy
LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani met Afghan President Hamid Karzai on the sidelines of the 31st Tripartite Commission meeting of military representatives in Kabul on Monday, where the two leaders discussed the new counter-terrorism strategy, a private TV channel reported.
According to the channel, Kayani called on the Afghan president and the two leaders exchanged views on the new counter-terrorism policy chalked out to curb the menace prevailing in the region. He had travelled to Kabul to attend the 31st meeting of the Tripartite Commission of senior military officials from Pakistan, Afghanistan and the coalition forces in Afghanistan.
