Japan Slams China Over Nukes
Japan has criticised China for withholding information about its nuclear weapons and demanded more transparency from the communist regime that has adopted capitalist practices.
”China continues to modernize its nuclear arsenals but has not undertaken any nuclear arms reductions. It also doesn’t disclose any information on its nuclear arsenals’, said Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone in Tokyo while outlining Japan’s initiative for global disarmament. He also called North Korea’s missile and nuclear programmes a serious threat to regional and global stability.
‘Improved transparency and nuclear weapons reduction by China and other nuclear states are vital for the progress of global nuclear arms reduction, the Japanese minister and called upon the US, Russia, India and Pakistan and other nuclear states to step up their efforts toward nuclear disarmament.
Nakasone said Japan fully supports President Obama’s vision of a world without nuclear weapons.
Beijing says its nuclear weapons development is for defense only but the claim has few takers amongst its neighbours. Japan also has repeatedly criticized China’s growing military spending and its murkiness.
