The General Intelligence Department said that last night in an operation on Daesh sanctuaries in PD8 of Kabul three members of Daesh were killed and one other was arrested.
Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman of the Islamic Emirate, said that the operation started in the evening and went until 10 o’clock at night. Be said these members were involved in some of the recent attacks in Kabul.
“In this operation a number of them died and some of those arrested are foreign nationals. The opposition continued until ten o clock and went slowly because the area was residential,” said Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesman for Islamic Emirate.
The opposition destroyed some houses in that area.
“It was 5:30 when special forces came here and started an operation and arrested Daesh,” said Sadat, a local resident.
“They live here and do not have any connection with others, they live secretly,” said Mohammad Yasir, a local resident.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the US State Department, Ned Price, said that Daesh exists in Afghanistan and the US will take action against Daesh if they learn of plans to target the United States.
“President Biden has made a solemn commitment to remain focused on ISIS-K and, if necessary, to take action against it if we see plots emanate that are targeting the United States and our partners,” said Price.
The Islamic Emirate in reaction to Ned Price said that Daesh has been defeated in Afghanistan, and Islamic Emirate forces are fighting with Daesh and in this regard the Islamic Emirate does not need the support of other countries.
“The Islamic Emirate has to pay more attention to security in Afghanistan and for prosperity,” said Janat Fahim Chakari, political analyst.
“Daesh and other terrorists were a danger to Afghanistan and now also they are a danger for Afghanistan,” said Sadiq Shenwari, political analyst.
Recently Daesh took responsibility for an attack on the Pakistan embassy in Kabul, a hotel with Chinese residents and an attack on Foreign Ministry staff.
